Christians Have Hope During Chemical Attacks

4/3/2017  Syria  (Mission Network News) In the midst of the horror of the chemical attacks in Syria, Christians can still have hope.  The chemical bombings that struck rebel-held territory in northern Syria have a climbing death and injury toll. Syrian Pastor Refuses to Leave War Zone During Civil War

3/28/2017   Syria   (Conservative Review) Pastor Edward Awabdeh and his wife refuse to leave Syria and abandon the churches and Christians there, even during the country’s civil war . He states that the challenges of injury, death, and Christian genocide increases the strength of the congregations as well as keeps their minds on eternal rewards. People continue to come to Christ in Syria, making clear the need for Christian leaders and guidance during the terrible situation in Syria. Pastor Awabdeh says that one week in particular was exceptionally trying for his flock recently, but it really taught them, in a hard way, how to be focused on what is eternal.   Please pray … Pray for the safety of Pastor Awabdeh as he continues to lead people to Christ during the country’s civil war. Pray that Pastor Awabdeh will have the right words from God to encourage his church members. Pray that an awakening of God will come to the people in Syria during this time. Recently, chemical weapon bombs have been dropped in Syria. Please pray that the Lord will protect Pastor Awabdeh and the Christians, and that there will not be more such chemical weapons used in the civil war.
