7/14/2018  North Korea  (hakugai.org editor)

During the winter of 2016, 18 Christians were arrested while attending an underground church. All of them were tortured mercilessly, and in the end 15 of them were released. The three leaders, however, were sent to a prison camp for political prisoners. Before President Trump met with Kim Jong Un on June 12, a formal letter was handed to him detailing the situation of these three prisoners and asking for him to negotiate for their release with Kim Jong Un.
These are the names of the three prisoners:

Cheong Gwang    (57)
Seo Jinju           (50)
Kim Hakcheol     (50)

Please pray…

  • Pray that Cheong Gwang, Seo Jinju, and Kim Hakcheol will be released from the prison camp.
  • Pray that they will continue to experience the hope found in Christ and continue to remain strong in their faith in the spiritual darkness of the prison camp, and that they will remain physically strong.
  • Pray for the many North Korean Christians who are imprisoned and that these camps will all be closed.
