Christians Slain in Suspected Al Shabaab Attack in Northern Kenya

Members of Somali Islamic extremist group Al Shabaab stopped a bus in northern Kenya on Dec. 6, separated out those who were not local ethnic Somali Muslims and executed them. The bus had 56 people aboard when it was. A witness who escaped said that the assailants separated out 11 Kenyan workers from the interior (assumed to be Christians) from local residents, assumed to be ethnic Somali Muslims. Two of the victims were teachers identified as evangelical Christians. A third victim was a doctor who belonged to an Africa Inland Church. Other victims included police officers. One survivor said he was not killed because a Somali Muslim man gave him some Somali clothing to wear.

• Pray that the Kenyan government will do more to protect people within its borders from attacks by Somalian terrorists.
