Uganda　Muslim Extremists Suspected of Killing Tourists

The killers of three people this week in western Uganda accused them of supporting Christian work. In western Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park, an Ugandan Christian tour guide, Eric Alyai, and a foreign married couple were shot to death by suspected Islamic terrorists of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF). Alyai, 40, British tourist David Barlow, and his South African wife Celia were killed after the Muslim extremists accused them of coming as and supporting Christians in Uganda. They shot them and burnt the vehicle. Alyai was known to take tourists to churches and Christian-owned hotels in the area, which helped generate income for the local church. Alyai is survived by his wife, Ruth Mutamba, and their young child. The ADF is considered one of the most dangerous of more than 120 armed groups in the region.

• Pray that the Lord will provide for the material needs of Ruth and her child.
• Pray that Christians in the region will continue to share the gospel and that the Lord will draw many to Himself, including members of the ADF.
