3/8/2025 (Behold Israel)
On December 8th, 2024, the Assad regime collapsed and Abu Mohammed al-Golani became the de facto leader, and on January 29th, 2025, he was appointed president by the provisional government. President Gland was a fighter for the extremist Islamic State (ISIS), and the US government had put a large bounty on him for his capture, designating him as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. The previous US administration withdrew the bounty, however. At first, Golani showed a conciliatory attitude toward Western nations, and declared that he would protect religious and ethnic minorities, including Christians, but in the end, the security forces of the provisional government he led massacred more than 2,400 Christians and Alawi (a Muslim minority) people in a 24-hour period around March 7th and 8th. The new Syrian government has revealed its true nature as Sunni jihadists by repeatedly commit-ting atrocities, including videoing the killing of minority ethnic groups and Christian civilians, including children, the elderly and women. Despite these massacres taking place in Syria, the media around the world has remained silent, failing to report on these atrocities.
Please pray…
Pray that the international community will not remain silent in the face of the Syrian government's slaughter of its people, but will condemn and sanction them, and that this interim government will be dismantled.
Pray that Christians and other minorities in Syria will be protected.
Pray that God's justice will be brought to Syria, that all evil will be defeated, and that the Lord's Church will be rebuilt in this land where the early Church was established.
Pray that Christians will feel the Lord's presence, be encouraged, and never give up their faith, holding on to the Lord's hope, even in these difficult times.
